Culture reopens in Switzerland

„We are delighted to finally be able to open our doors to you again from Monday, March 1st and cordially invite you to visit the current exhibition „Rodin/Arp“. The unique sculpture exhibition on the two great sculptors August Rodin and Hans Arp will be with us until 16 May 2021.

The Fondation Beyeler is well prepared for the reopening. The sophisticated protection concepts, which have proved their worth over the past year, are still in place.

You can now reserve your visiting time on our website http://www.fondationbeyeler.ch/tickets. We would also like to ask you as a holder of a membership card or an admission voucher, which you may have given away as a gift, to reserve a time ticket online before your visit by purchasing a „free admission“ ticket. This ticket is only valid in conjunction with the membership card or the admission voucher; you can show both at the entrance to the museum. Please do not hesitate to contact us if we can help you with your booking.

The Restaurant Beyeler im Park will remain closed until further notice.

As no guided tours and events can take place at the moment and until further notice, our online offer of guided tours, talks, readings and educational offers for children and families will of course continue. You will find the current overview at https://www.fondationbeyeler.ch/en/art-experiences-online

A new date for the dance performance by the world-famous choreographer Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker at the Fondation Beyeler is still being sought. We will send you an invitation as soon as a new date has been fixed.

We would like to refer you to two particularly beautiful art experiences that will soon be available online:

„Arp in Public“

Hans Arp is one of the most important sculptors of the 20th century. His works are exhibited in the world’s great art museums. What is less well known is that a whole series of his sculptures can be found in the public spaces of Basel-Stadt and Basel-Land.

The new video series invites you to discover these works of art together with exhibition curator Raphael Bouvier and perhaps visit them yourself soon. Soon online

First collaboration with the Basel Symphony Orchestra

An unusual virtual museum tour is currently being created especially for the current „Rodin/Arp“ exhibition, featuring an interplay between the sculptures in the exhibition and the sounds of Bach, Britten and Saint-Saëns – played by members of the Basel Symphony Orchestra.

The videos will be available on the digital channels of both institutions. Online soon

We continue to do everything we can to ensure that your visit to the museum is safe but equally enjoyable. We are truly looking forward to welcoming you back to the Fondation Beyeler.

Please do not hesitate to contact us at any time with any questions. We sincerely wish you good health.

Your team at the Fondation Beyeler“
