Alina Mnatsakanian “As an artist of Armenian decent the Genocide is part of my DNA” Alina Mnatsakanian says. The exhibition “Of Death and Life” is dedicated to the memory of the victims and the current political issue that is the denial of the Armenian Genocide. The works presented – varied in mediums from photography to painting, digital art and new media – are conceptual reflections on Genocide, injustice and crime, seen from different angles and views, occasionally using a sarcastic approach. The exhibition reflects not only on death but also on life that continues and flourishes despite the tragedy that occurred 100 years ago.
